Qt Overload explained…

April 2nd, 2009 by Aron

Dear Qt community,

We here at Qt Software hate to explain a joke but obviously our reference here was a touch too obscure. We have historically suffered from people being unsure how to pronounce Qt. Some say Q-T, while others say “cute”. The correct way to say it is “cute”, due to the way the letters Q + T are pronounced in Norwegian.

Qt Overload was designed to help reinforce how to pronounce Qt. We tried to spoof a website called Cute Overload, a popular site for cute things. We launched this on April 1 because we hoped that people would realize this isn’t our real community site, it’s just for fun.

Sincerely,

The Trolls

PS: We found this really darn funny - at least we amused ourselves ;-)

Well *I* got it ;) I’m sure I’m not the only one.

By the way, is there an RSS feed for QtOverload somewhere?

    I had great fun too!
The website and features were done very well.
    The laughing trolls are excellent.
